Hello, I'm Megija, a journalism student at Northwestern University, and my roots trace back to the quaint country of Latvia in North-Eastern Europe. Since the tender age of seven, I knew I would become a journalist. I started crafting poetry even before mastering grammatical nuances. Throughout my school years, I dedicated countless hours to writing essays and stories that eventually clinched victories in various contests. Now, I find immense pride in reporting, writing, and crafting multimedia pieces for both the Daily Northwestern and Northwestern News Network. And my passion lies in exploring critical subjects such as social justice, immigration, foreign policy and international law.
